Flower from the Universe is een interactieve lichtinstallatie waarin licht en kleur voortdurend in beweging zijn. De bloem vangt de kleuren van bezoekers op en laat ze samenvloeien tot een steeds veranderend kleurenlandschap.

In het hart pulseert een lichtgevende neuron, herkenbaar als een zenuwcel uit ons brein. Als een levend netwerk van verbindingen vormt het een kloppend middelpunt, waarin de onzichtbare draden tussen mens, plant en omgeving samenkomen.

Planten voeden ons, zuiveren de lucht en spelen een onmisbare rol in het leven op aarde. Ze maken deel uit van complexe netwerken waarin alles met elkaar samenhangt.

Flower from the Universe

An encounter between human and plant, between colour, light and life.

Flower from the Universe is an interactive light installation in which light and colour are in constant motion. The flower captures the colours of visitors and blends them together into an ever-changing landscape of colour.

At its heart pulses a luminous neuron, recognisable as a nerve cell from our brain. Like a living network of connections, it forms a beating centre, where the invisible threads linking humans, plants and the environment converge.

Plants nourish us, purify the air and play an indispensable role in life on Earth. They form part of complex networks in which everything is interconnected. We, too, are part of this living universe: the Flower from the Universe.

Flower from the Universe brings people together through a shared interactive experience. The installation invites participation, wonder and encounter, while connecting themes of nature, technology and human interconnectedness. It encourages visitors to reflect on their relationship with the living world—not through explanation, but through direct experience.

The work is ideally suited for museums, festivals, botanical gardens, science centres and public spaces where participation, dialogue and immersive experiences are central.
